- Joëlle Le Marec is doctor, and professor of university in french Ecole Normale Supérieure Lettres et Sciences humaines (a college of universities in Lyon). I’m a founder member and director of the laboratory “Communication, Culture et Société” (Communication, Culture and Society). My investigations deal with relations between sciences and society, museums, mass-media, culture and the public of institutions, and relations between man and nature. See my publications.

- Igor Babou is doctor, and assistant professor in french Ecole Normale Supérieure Lettres et Sciences humaines (a college of universities in Lyon). I’m a founder member of the laboratory “Communication, Culture et Société” (Communication, Culture and Society). My investigations deals with relations between sciences and society, museums, mass-media, and relations between man and nature. I’m responsible of the masters degrees in Communication Sciences in Ecole Normale Supérieure Lettres et Sciences humaines. See my publications.

Before being academics, both of us had professional activities in culture or media. Moreover, our field of action and thinking does not restrict itself to university, and that’s why we have regular contacts with other sociocultural spheres. This blog, and the authors that contribute to it, give evidence of our wish to gather, in the same analysis, fields of action and thinking too often separated: institutional cultures, marginal and alternatives cultures , investigation, university, etc.
